Below are a selection of prayers that you may like to Recite Each Day.  We begin with  prayers of self offering, Consecration and then move onto other beautiful prayers. Hopefully you may recite these each day and receive great blessings from God.

There is a beautiful prayer book  containing these prayers that can be obtained by proceeding to the shop.

      Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You, and I detest

all my sins, because of Your just

punishments, but most of all because

they offend You, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my

love.

I firmly resolve, with the help of

Your grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen

Morning  Offering

O Jesus, through the most pure Heart of Mary, I offer You all the prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Thy divine Heart; for my own sanctification, for the conversion of poor sinners, and for the salvation of souls, especially those who will die this day.

For the Spirit of Mary

My powerful Queen,

You are all mine through Your mercy,

and I am all Yours.

Take away from me all that may displease God

and cultivate in me all that is pleasing to Him.

May the light of Your faith

dispel the darkness of my mind,

Your deep humility take the place of my pride,

Your continual sight of God

fill my memory with His presence.

May the fire of the love of Your Heart

inflame the lukewarmness of my own heart.

May Your virtues take the place of my sins.

May Your merits be my enrichment and

make up for all that is wanting in me

before God.

My beloved Mother, grant that I may have

no other spirit but Your spirit,

to know Jesus Christ and His Divine will

and to praise and glorify the Lord,

that I may love God

with burning love like Yours.        Amen

To the Mother of Divine Mercy by Saint Faustina

O Mary,  my Mother and my Lady, I offer You my soul, my body, my life and my death, and all that will come after it.  I place everything in Your hands.

O my Mother, cover my soul with Your virginal mantle and grant me the grace of purity of heart, soul and body.  Defend me with Your power against those who hide their malice behind the mask of virtue.

Fortify my soul that pain may not break it.  Mother of grace teach me to live by God’s power. Amen

Sweet Mother, unite my soul to Jesus, because it is only then that I will be able to endure all trials and tribulations, and only in union with Jesus will my little sacrifices be pleasing to God.  Sweetest Mother, continue to teach me about the interior life.  May the sword of suffering never break me.

O pure Virgin pour courage into my heart and guard it.   Amen.

Our Lady of Rocamadour

Situated just a few hours from Lourdes,  local tradition says that Zaccheas from the Gospels  came to live here as a hermit. The body of an incorrupt monk and a very ancient statue of Our Lady carved from Oak, and innumerable miracles made this a place of pilgrimage.  King Charlemagne nephew Roland. made pilgrimage here in the 8th Century.  Many kings were to follow including St Louis King of France.  St Dominic founder of the Dominican Order, is among so many holy men and women who made pilgrimage to  this holy and sacred place.  Now, each year, 1.5 million people visit this famous shrine.  Here is a very special and beautiful  prayer:

Prayer to Our Lady of Rocamadour

I stand before You, O Our Lady of Rocamadour,

Who always hears the prayers

of those who have recourse to You.

Grant me bodily health

to serve God and my human brethren.

Grant also the same precious blessing to those I love in this world.

I entrust to You all these lives that are dear to me.

Have pity on those who suffer in their body or their soul,

O Mother of all.

With bodily health grant us spiritual wholeness.

In the midst of life’s trials and worries, keep our faith firm:

Solid like this rock which shelters You

and where You welcome Your children with such love.

Our Lady of Rocamadour, guard us, save us.        Amen.

Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus   by Saint Margaret Mary

I (N.), give and consecrate to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ, my person, my life, my actions, my pains and sufferings, so that I may be unwilling to make use of any part of my being unless it is  to honour, love, and glorify the Sacred Heart. It is my unchanging intention to be all His and to do all for love of Him. I renounce at the same time with all my heart whatever can displease Him.

I, therefore take You, O Sacred Heart, for the only object of my love, the protector of my life, the pledge of my salvation, the remedy of my weakness and inconstancy, the atonement for the faults of my life, and the secure refuge at the hour of my death.

Be then, O Heart of goodness, my justification before God the Father, and turn away from me the punishment of His just anger. O Heart of love, I put my confidence in You, because I fear everything from my own sinfulness and weakness. I hope for all things from Your mercy and generosity.

Destroy in me all that can displease or resist Your holy Will. Let Your pure love impress You so deeply upon my heart that I may never forget You or be separated from You. May my name, by Your loving kindness, be written in You, because in You I desire to place all my happiness and all my glory in living and dying, bound  to You, to Your love and mercy.                    Amen

Holy Face of Jesus

It is said that this devotion brought St Therese of Lisieux, “the Little Flower”, to her great sanctity.  This is her prayer

O Jesus, who in Thy bitter Passion did become “the most abject of men, a man of sorrows”, I venerate Thy Sacred Face whereon there once did shine the beauty and sweetness of the Godhead; but now it has become for me as if it were the face of a leper! Nevertheless, under those disfigured features, I recognise Thy infinite Love and I am consumed with the desire to love Thee and make Thee loved by all men. The tears which well up abundantly in Thy sacred eyes appear to me as so many precious pearls that I love to gather up, in order to purchase the souls of poor sinners by means of their infinite value. O Jesus, whose adorable Face ravishes my heart, I implore Thee to fix deep within me Thy divine image and to set me on fire with Thy Love, that I may be found worthy to come to the contemplation of Thy glorious Face in Heaven.            Amen.

ADORABLE Face of my Jesus, my only love, my light and my life, grant that I may know, love and serve Thee alone, that I may live with Thee, of Thee, by Thee and for Thee.  Amen

ETERNAL Father,  I offer Thee the adorable Face of Thy Beloved Son for the honour and glory of Thy Name, for the conversion of sinners and for the salvation of the dying.

A Prayer For Divine Mercy

O Greatly Merciful God, Infinite Goodness, today all
humanity calls out from the abyss of its misery to Your mercy - to Your compassion, O God; and it is with its mighty voice of misery that it  cries out.

Gracious God, do not reject the prayer of this earth’s exiles!

O Lord, Goodness beyond understanding, who are acquainted with our misery through and through, and know that by our own power we cannot ascend to You, we implore You: Anticipate us with Your grace and keep on increasing Your mercy in us, that we may faithfully do Your holy will all through our life and at death’s hour.

Let the omnipotence of Your mercy shield us from the darts of our salvation’s enemies, that we may with confidence, as Your children, await Your final coming-that day known to You alone.  And we expect to obtain everything promised us by Jesus in spite of our wretchedness.  For Jesus is our Hope:  Through His merciful Heart as through an open gate we pass through to heaven. Amen (V, 143)

The Three O’clock Prayer:

You Expired Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.  O fount of life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelope the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us. Amen       (Diary 1319)

The Conversion Prayer (3 times):

O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a Fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You.     (Diary 84)

Jesus I Trust in You!  Jesus I Trust in You!  Jesus I Trust in You!

Saint Faustina’s Prayer for Priests

O  My Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Give her love and the light of Your Spirit.  Give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You O Lord.

Lord, give us holy priests;  You Yourself maintain them in holiness.

O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of Your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil’s traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests.

May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests,  for You can do all things.(1052)

Jesus, my most beloved, I beg You for the triumph of the Church, for blessings on the Holy Father, and on all clergy; for the grace of conversion of poor sinners.  Amen

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Breathe into me, Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Move in me, Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Attract my heart, Holy Spirit, that I may love only what is holy. Strengthen me, Holy Spirit, that I may defend all that is holy. Protect me, Holy Spirit, that I may always be holy.

Holy Spirit, Lord of light,  From Thy clear celestial height

Thy pure beaming radiance give.

Come, Thou Father of the poor,

Come with treasures which endure,

Come, Thou Light of all that live.

Thou, of all consolers best, Thou, the soul’s delightful Guest,

Does refreshing peace bestow.

Thou in toil art comfort sweet,

Pleasant coolness in the heat,

Solace in the midst of woe.

 Light immortal, Light divine,

Visit Thou these hearts of Thine,

 And our inmost being fill.

If Thou take Thy grace away,

 Nothing pure in man will stay;

All his good is turned to ill.

 Heal our wounds; our strength renew; On our dryness pour Thy dew;

Wash the stains of guilt away.

Bend the stubborn heart and will;

Melt the frozen, warm the chill;

Guide the steps that go astray.

Thou, on those who evermore Thee confess and Thee adore,

In Thy sevenfold gifts descend:

Give them comfort when they die,

Give them life with Thee on high;

Give them joys that never end. Amen

Prayer for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit  St. Alphonsus Liguori

Holy Spirit, divine Consoler, I adore You as my true God, with God the Father and God the Son. I adore You and unite myself to the adoration You receive from the angels and saints.

I give You my heart and I offer my ardent thanksgiving for all the grace which You never cease to bestow on me.

O Giver of all supernatural gifts, who filled the soul of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with such immense favors, I beg You to visit me with Your grace and Your love and to grant me the gift of holy fear, so that it may act on me as a check to prevent me from falling back into my past sins, for which I beg pardon.

Grant me the gift of piety, so that I may serve You for the future with increased fervor, follow with more promptness Your holy inspirations, and observe Your divine precepts with greater fidelity.

Grant me the gift of knowledge, so that I may know the things of God and, enlightened by Your holy teaching, may walk, without deviation, in the path of eternal salvation.

Grant me the gift of fortitude, so that I may overcome courageously all the assaults of the devil, and all the dangers of this world which threaten the salvation of my soul.

Grant me the gift of counsel, so that I may choose what is more conducive to my spiritual advancement and may discover the wiles and snares of the tempter.

Grant me the gift of understanding, so that I may apprehend the divine mysteries and by contemplation of heavenly things detach my thoughts and affections from the vain things of this miserable world.

Grant me the gift of wisdom, so that I may rightly direct all my actions, referring them to God as my last end; so that, having loved Him and served Him in this life, I may have the happiness of possessing Him eternally in the next. Amen.

GOD IS MY FATHER

“My Father in Heaven, how sweet and delightful it is to know that You are my Father and I am Your child!

Above all when there is darkness in my soul and my cross seems too heavy to bear, I feel the need to repeat: Father, I believe in Your Love for me!

Yes, I believe: You are a real Father to me at every moment of my life and I am Your child!

I believe: You love me with infinite Love!

I believe: You watch over me day and night; not a hair can fall from my head without Your consent!

I believe: You, being Infinitely Wise, know better than I, what is useful to me!

I believe: You, being Omnipotent, can bring forth good even out of bad!

I believe: You, being Infinitely Good, turn everything to the advantage of those who love You; even under the hands that strike me, I kiss Your healing hand!

I believe: …but increase in me Faith, Hope and Love!

Teach me to see always Your Love as a guide in every event of  my life.

Teach me to abandon myself to You like a baby in its mother’s arms.

Father, You know all, You see everything, You know me better than I know myself. You can do everything and You love me!

My Father, since it is Your wish that we always call on You in our needs, I come with trust to ask You, together with Jesus and Mary: ……… (ask for the grace desired).

For this intention, in union with the holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, I offer You all my prayers, sacrifices and mortifications, all my actions and a greater faithfulness towards my duties.*

Grant me the light, the grace and the power of the Holy Spirit!

Strengthen me in this Spirit so that I may never lose Him, never grieve Him nor weaken His voice in me.

My Father, it is in the Name of Jesus, Your Son, that I ask You for this. O Jesus, I ask You to open Your Heart! Put my heart into Yours and offer it, together with the Heart of Mary, to our Divine Father. Obtain for me the grace which I need!

Divine Father, call all people to Yourself. Let the whole world proclaim Your Paternal Goodness and Your Divine Mercy!

Be my tender Father and protect me always as the apple of Your eye. Grant that I shall be always a worthy child of Yours. Have mercy on me!

Divine Father,

sweet hope of our souls,

may You be known, loved and honoured by all mankind!

Divine Father,

infinite goodness poured out over all the peoples, may You be known, loved and honoured by all mankind!

Divine Father,

beneficent dew of humanity,

may You be known, loved and honoured by all mankind!  Amen.”

* If you recite this prayer as a Novena add during the prayer after ‘…greater faithfulness towards my duties’ the following sentence:

“I promise You to be generous, especially in these nine days, on such circumstances… with that person…”

Consecration to

Our Lady of Sorrows

Most holy Virgin and Queen of Martyrs, Mary,

O that I could be in Heaven, there to contemplate the honours rendered to You by the Most Holy Trinity and by the whole Heavenly Court!

But since I am still a pilgrim in this vale of tears,

receive from me, Your unworthy servant and a poor sinner, the most sincere  and  perfect act of homage a human creature can offer.

In Your  Immaculate Heart, pierced with so many swords of sorrow, I place today my poor soul forever; receive me as a partaker in Your sorrows, and never suffer that I should depart from that Cross on which Your only begotten Son expired for me.

With You, O Mary, I will endure all the sufferings, difficulties and infirmities, with which it will please Your Divine Son to visit me in this life.

All of them I offer to You, in memory of the sorrows which You did suffer during Your  life, that every thought of my mind, every beating of my heart may henceforth be an act of compassion to Your  Sorrows, and of honour for the glory You  now enjoy in Heaven.

Since then, O Dear Mother, I now compassionate Your Sorrows, and rejoice in seeing You  glorified, do  have compassion on me, and reconcile me to Your Son Jesus, that I may become Your true and loyal child; come on my last day and assist me in my last agony, even as You were present at the Agony of Your Divine Son Jesus, that from this painful exile I may go to Heaven, there to be made partaker of Your glory. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes

Oh ever immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, Health of the Sick, Refuge of Sinners, Comfortess of the Afflicted, you know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings. Look upon me with mercy. When you appeared in the grotto of Lourdes, you made it a privileged sanctuary where you dispense your favors, and where many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and corporal. I come, therefore, with unbounded confidence to implore your maternal intercession. My loving Mother, obtain my request. I will try to imitate your virtues so that I may one day share your company and bless you in eternity. Amen.

St Joseph, Foster Father of Jesus

Prayer to Saint Joseph 1.

O St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God. I place in you all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, so that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

O St. Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for me.

Prayer to Saint Joseph 2

Dear St. Joseph, accept the offering of myself, which I now make to you. I dedicate myself to your service, that you may ever be my father, my protector, and my guide in the way of salvation. Obtain for me great purity of heart and a fervent love for the spiritual life. May all my actions, after your example, be directed to the greater glory of God, in union with the divine Heart of Jesus, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and your own paternal heart.

Finally, pray for me that I may share in the peace and joy of your holy death.

The Angelus

The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary:

And She conceived of the Holy Spirit.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee; blessed art Thou among women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of

our death. Amen.

Behold the handmaid of the Lord:

Be it done unto me according to Thy word.

Hail Mary . . .

And the Word was made Flesh:

And dwelt among us.

Hail Mary . . .

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray:

Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Guardian Angel Prayer

Angel of God, My Guardian Dear

to whom God's love commits

me here.

Ever this day be at my side

to light and guard and rule and guide.     Amen

Prayer to St Michael

Saint Michael the Archangel,

Defend us in battle;

Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:

And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,

By the power of God,

Thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits

Who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.  Amen.

For the Poor Souls in Purgatory

Prayer for one deceased person:

Eternal rest grant unto him(or her) O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him (or her), and may his (her) soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, Amen.

Prayer for a group of deceased:

Eternal Rest  grant unto them O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon them, and may their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God  rest in peace, Amen.

Devotion of St. Bernard

to the Shoulder Wound of Jesus

Releases many souls from purgatory each time it is prayed.

O Loving Jesus, meek Lamb of God, I a miserable sinner, salute and worship the most Sacred Wound of Your Shoulder on which You bore Your heavy Cross, which so tore Your Flesh and laid bare Your Bones as to inflict on You an anguish greater than any other Wound of Your Most Blessed Body. I adore You, O Jesus most sorrowful; I praise and glorify You and give You thanks for this most sacred and painful Wound, beseeching You by the crushing burden of Your heavy Cross to be merciful to the souls in purgatory and to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins, and to lead me on towards Heaven along the Way of Your Cross. Amen

Consecration to Our Lady

of Mount Carmel

O Mary, Queen and Mother of Carmel, I come today to consecrate myself to You, for my whole life is but a small return for the many graces and blessings that have come from God to me through Your hands.

Since You regard with an eye of special kindness those who wear Your Scapular I implore You to strengthen my weakness with Your power, to enlighten the darkness of my mind with Your wisdom, to increase in me faith, hope and charity that I may render, day by day, my debt of humble homage to You.

May Your Scapular keep Your eyes of mercy turned towards me and bring me Your special protection in the daily struggle to be faithful to Your Divine Son and to You.

May it separate me from all that is sinful in life and remind me constantly of my duty to behold You and clothe myself with Your virtues. From henceforth I shall strive to live in the sweet companionship of Your spirit, to offer all to Jesus through You and make my life the mirror of Your humility, charity, patience, meekness and prayerfulness.

O dearest Mother, support me, by Your never-failing love that I, an unworthy sinner, may come one day to exchange Your Scapular for the wedding Garment of heaven and dwell with You and the saints of Carmel in the kingdom of Your Son. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mount Carmel

O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein that You are my Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, I humbly beseech You from the bottom of my heart, to help me in this my necessity. There are none that can withstand Your power. O show me herein that You are my Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us that have recourse to Thee. (3 times)

Sweet Mother, I place this cause in Your hands. (3 times)
