An Afternoon of Prayer in Honour of
God the Father,
Father of All Mankind
How blessed we are to have Christ as our Brother and Mary as our Mother. But how neglected is our Heavenly Father? Does this not seem strange to you? After all Jesus came to establish on earth the Kingdom of His Father.
In a series of wonderful revelations to Sr Eugenia, an Italian born religious sister, the Father Himself complains of this neglect. The complaint is not that he feels left out. The complaint is that in failing to adequately proclaim the Father’s tender love and mercy mankind has missed out.
He indicated that so many peoples remain unconverted, because the Father’s love was not adequately explained and lived. He indicates that we Christian’s are the poorer when we do not deeply understand and experience His love.
He is a tender and loving Father. To draw us all deeper into His love, The Father took the unprecedented measure of making a touching and extraordinary manifestation
February 14, 2016
to Sr Eugenia. The Father deigned to make Himself tangible to the senses to Mother Eugenia.
This was not the first time that the Father had manifested Himself in a tangible form. St Margaret Mary in her biography noted that the Father appeared to her and spoke to her. (The Autobiography of Saint Margaret Mary, Tan Books,1986, pp 72-73)
As to the Father speaking to us in the sacred scriptures , there are 3 incidents in the New Testament when the Father spoke and all those present heard Him speak.
At the baptism of Jesus, Matthew records that there was a voice from heaven that said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." Mathew 3:16-17.
At the Transfiguration on Mt Tabour Peter, James and John heard a powerful voice from Heaven. It was of course the Father: "This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!" Mathew 17:6:8
Then at the Last Supper John the Apostle records the words of the Father. "I have glorifed you Name and will do it again." John 12: 28.
God gave us every reason to believe that His special manifestation to Mother Eugenia did in fact occur. He blessed this humble poor girl with a miraculous healing through Our Lady and he raised her up to be the head of a religious congregation. As head of the order she opened 70 religious houses in Africa, established a famous town for lepers and discovered a cure for Leprosy. This was absolutely extraordinary and points to the power of God working through her, and this was confirmed by those who knew her who testified that she exhude peace, tranquility and the power of God in all circumstances: equally in her successes and in her setbacks.
The writings she presented reportedly from the Father underwent a thorough and rigorous examination and was referred to the Vatican. Her character was put to the test by the diocesan commission examining the claims of the manifestation by the Father. For a whole ten years Sr Eugenia and the Father’s message were put to the test. Finally the Bishop of Grenoble France could do nothing but praise God the Father for choosing His diocese as the place for such a “touching manifestation of His love.”
There can be no doubt that since 1930, the issue of these revelations has been presented to the Vatican on numerous occasions. The Vatican’s implicit continuing support of the veracity of the message can be seen by the fact that never has there been a single word to suggest anything other than this is an authentic supernatural occurrence. So do come with your hearts full of love for Our Father and depart from this beautiful day of prayer with huge graces and blessings. God our Father specifically requested this day in His honour on the First Sunday of August.
We hold many days of prayer through the year but this day is certainly one of the most blessed. Beautiful Books with the messages of God the Father and images will be distributed for Free for all who attend. St Joseph’s Church is close to Nepean Highway and Dandenong Roads.
