Celebration in honour of The Assumption of Our Lady 2022
A Grace Filled Afternoon is keenly anticipated
The First Class Relics of the Great Franciscan Saints St Anthony of Padua and St Francis of Assisi will be present for this day only!
A spiritually rich and beautiful day will be held to honour Our Lady’s Assumption into Heaven. People raved about our last celebration in honour of Our Lady’s Assumption, on just how it was such a magnificent and grace filled occasion, and we are indeed expecting the same this year.
God is increasingly showing us that it is only through Our Lady that He will triumph. Politics have failed, despite the efforts of many dedicated and well meaning people. The time has come for all of us to realise that, as in the past, it will only be through Our Lady, through people turning to Her that the peace that all hearts seek will be found.
Do be part of something great, something much bigger than any of us and indeed all of us. Come and honour Our Lady. Come and be blessed by God. How he showers His blessings on all who honour Our Lady, and seek Her intercession.
Of all the beautiful Feasts in honour of Our Lady this is one of the most beautiful. It tells us of the fidelity of God. How God rewards the virtuous. The more faithful we are to Him in this world the greater will be our glory in Heaven.
Our Lady was absolutely faithful to God and so God gave to Her an absolutely remarkable and unique privilege, that of being assumed body and soul into heaven. That was Her exterior privilege, but it is a sign of an even greater reality: that She is completely filled with the love of God and of the presence of the divinity: Father Son and Holy Spirit. It is Her special role to work tirelessly interceding for us Her children so that we may be united with Her in Heaven there to sing God’s praises for all eternity.
What a blessing to have the First Class relic of the great Apostle of Our Lady, St Louis De Montfort with us for this day only. St Louis De Montfort is one of the most important figures in the history of the Church with regards to devotion to Our Lady. His writings have had a profound effect in the lives of countless devotees to Our Lady. One of his most famous admirers was the Great John Paul II who publicly acknowledged that it was the writing of St Louis De Montfort which inspired him greatly in his Marian devotion.
Many of the great Marian Saints explain that God has entrusted the role of mercy to Mary: to distribute his choicest graces to all who love Her and call upon Her intercession. She is ready to intercede for us but she awaits our response. Please come on this day to receive great blessings from God. Please enlighten many others of the great graces in stall.
We are delighted to announce that Fr Paschal Corby OFM Conventual will be the main celebrant and Br Louis Schmidt will also be present for the afternoon. They will be bringing with them the First Class Relics of St Francis of Assisi, St Anthony of Padua and the great St Maximilian Kolbe.
